Currently, all soccer activities, including all practices and games for all NWISL Clubs and Teams, are suspended due to the COVID-19 Pandemic.  NWISL’s purpose is to provide a safe opportunity to play youth league soccer and the NWISL Board of Directors would like to provide the opportunity to continue to do so this Spring if safe to do so  based on guidance of the CDC, the State of Indiana, and SAY Soccer.

If possible, the Spring NWISL Season will start on May 30th with a tournament to complete the season for all age groups (U8 through U19) at the end of June.  Games will be played on Saturdays and Sundays, with some possible Friday evenings for local and neighboring area teams.  Any games cancelled due to weather or other reason will not be rescheduled.

NWISL recognizes that some may not want to participate in any Spring activities given current circumstances.  NWISL respects those who do not feel it appropriate to participate in the Spring and encourages anyone to discuss those concerns with their Club.  NWISL will allow any Club to withdraw any currently declared teams without penalty.  Clubs that withdraw some, or all, of their declared Spring teams will have the League Registration Fees of those teams applied against any outstanding balances then toward any Fall League Registration Fees.  Individual players will need to contact their Club regarding their refund policies directly.

NWISL will following the schedule below to help plan a Season and Tournament for Clubs and Teams that indicate a desire to play in the Spring:

Tuesday, April 21st, 2020 – Deadline date for clubs to confirm teams still participating in the Spring season.  Clubs and Teams not withdrawn by that date will be considered to still be participating in full and will be scheduled for games.

Friday, May 15th, 2020 – Deadline date for NWISL to confirm all soccer activities are able to resume.  NWISL will cancel the Spring Season if all soccer activities are still suspended by this date.  If cancelled, any league registration fees will be handled as if the teams were withdrawn.

Saturday, May 30th, 2020 – Opening game of the season.  Scheduled game dates would include: May 30th, 31st, 5th, 6th, 7th, 12th, 13th, 14th,  19th with a tournament on June 20th and 21st.
